The inaugural Continence UK conference will take place at the Harrogate International Centre on the 13th and 14th November 2007. It will run alongside our other Healthcomm UK events, Wounds UK and Dermatology UK.

The continence programme is being designed to replicate the varied and diverse nature of the Continence UK Journal. Through a mixture of plenary sessions and practical workshops, this new and dynamic event will provide you with an excellent opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills and network with colleagues from around the UK in a busy and vibrant learning environment. Content for the event will be scrutinised by our advisory board who are all practitioners in the continence and urology fields, ensuring a relevant mix of subjects that will be of interest to all members of a multi-disciplinary team.

Why will Continence UK be different from other events?

Continence UK will be providing a programme that has real relevance to current practice not just for nurses, but for others involved in the chain of care including physiotherapists, occupational therapists and educationalists.

Additionally, we know that the increased demands of modern practice and patient expectation, create a situation where nurses and others are required to have extensive knowledge and skills in related subject and therapy areas. Our already long-established Wounds UK conference and Dermatology UK event (run in association with the British Dermatological Nursing Group) will run parallel to Continence UK and continence delegates can access elements of these related events. We feel this will provide you with a great opportunity to update your core continence and urology skills, but augment them by updating your knowledge in interrelated subject areas. You can therefore supplement your visit with any number of dermatology or wound care sessions and access the related exhibition hall as part of your continence delegate fee.

All delegates are invited to attend the black-tie gala dinner on the night of the 13th November. There is no additional charge for the dinner and drinks reception, it has been built into the delegate fee. This is a networking event and we would like all delegates to attend the dinner and mix with friends and colleagues from the other conferences. The dinner will be held at the Harrogate International Centre and we will be expecting around 1,500 delegates across the three events.
